Pop-ups which have been pierced and threaded onto a hair rig are more likely to absorb water and lose buoyancy. Super Floss has a wide, flat profile which grips the pop-up securely without cutting in, even when the bait has swollen slightly. The pop-up can then be tied to a rig ring with 3 or 4 overturn knots. Rather than using super glue leave about 1cm tails at the end of the floss, then using a lighter burn back the ends to form small hard blobs, giving total security.
ESP Marker Gum is the perfect material for tying stop knots on monofilament and braided main lines to maintain consistent accuracy when clipping up and casting to baited spots and features.
These Splicing Needles come in a pack of three and are used to created spliced joints in leadcore. Spliced joints are much stronger than any knot and have the additional advantage of being extremely neat and streamlined. Maximum strength can be achieved with a spliced section of 30mm.
Leadcore is immensely strong with a breaking strain of around 45lbs and with its high abrasion resistance, it is ideal for coping with heavy weed and snags, while the special two-tone weave provides excellent camouflage.
Following its launch in 2011, ESP Syncro XT mono has grown to become one of the most widely used and well respected top end mainlines available. And with very good reason, it ticks all the boxes regarding what's required from a top performing carp mono: unbeatable knot strength, optimum stretch, quick sinking, superb abrasion resistance without being wiry and this relative suppleness makes it a front-runner when it comes to distance casting.
Expertly tied to super sharp ESP Curve-Shanx hooks and buoyant enough to support a long mono hook link, the black foam body acts as a silhouette, replicating a bug perfectly and acting as a lure to carp feeding aggressively on fly hatches.
Boilies are made from a tough, super buoyant material which does not lose buoyancy. These boilies can be ‘glugged’ in flavours for additional attraction or left un-flavoured. Each pack contains 16 pieces - two of each size (four different sizes) and colour.
Double Corn is tough, super buoyant material which does not lose buoyancy. These boilies can be ‘glugged’ in flavours for additional attraction or left un-flavoured. Each pack contains 16 pieces - two of each size (four different sizes) and colour.
Like on the smaller sizes, selected grains feature a hairstop recess on the side or on the end to allow for lengthways or sideways presentation, whilst other grains have no recess. These are perfect for a wide variety of presentations from balancing or tipping boilies or nuts, to creating the perfect pop up.
Ideal for carp, tench and big bream, different sizes can be used alone or combined with natural corn to counterbalance the weight of the hook or create the perfect pop up.
One of the blades has a serrated edge which is perfect for gripping (without the need to hold under tension) and providing a clean cut on thicker materials such as stiff rig bristle filament.
The 12cm long, flat forged needle is exceptionally rigid and the gate latch head clasps and closes round loops allowing you to pull the hooklink back through sticks or bags.
They are easy to use and reduce splits and breakages when baiting up. Ultra-fine 1mm diameter drill produces smaller, neater holes. The matching 1mm diameter needle has low profile barb with no sharp edges to fray or damage braid. Increased diameter towards base of needle is also useful for opening up the hair loop.
PVA Mesh Refills come in two sizes 20-25mm and 32mm and are designed to fit directly onto the tubes supplied in the PVA Kits.
The 20mm diameter PVA Mesh Kit is ideal for producing small, discreet parcels of bait and attractants and for making ultra-slim 'dynamite sticks' which are perfect for long range casting. The bait tube has a slightly flared top to make filling easier and is moulded in a tough durable polymer. The 25mm diameter PVA Mesh Kit is ideal for producing 'dynamite sticks' and small parcels of pellet, crushed boilies, mixers etc. The bait tube has a slightly flared top to make filling easier and is moulded in a tough durable polymer. The 32mm diameter PVA Mesh Kit is ideal for producing less compacted, rounded bags of bait. It is therefore supplied with a flexible moulded funnel which fits securely in place over the top of the bait tube and can be removed for convenient storage. The bait tube is loaded with PVA Mesh knitted from an ultra-fine thread with a strong anti-ladder construction. The unique combination of thread diameter and weave pattern produces a versatile mesh tube which is strong enough to be packed hard with bait yet fine enough to retain tiny pellets, boilie crumb and maggots.
The perforated PVA Bags have multiple small holes over their whole surface so pockets of air cannot remain trapped inside the bag. This makes them ideal for distance casting and ensures they sink rapidly in deep water.
Plain PVA Bags are suitable for use with oil-based liquid additives and flavourings. The perforated PVA Bags have multiple small holes over their whole surface so pockets of air cannot remain trapped inside the bag. This makes them ideal for distance casting and ensures they sink rapidly in deep water.
Ideal for sealing PVA Bags and keeping boilies nicely spread apart on stringers, it is also useful for tying long hairs to the hook to prevent them from tangling on the cast.
This special ESP blend of PVA string has an extra loose weave which allows water to penetrate between the filaments ensuring rapid meltdown without residue. These strands can be further separated into finer lengths for even faster dispersal.
The Classic features a longer, finer straight point which is slightly more inclined towards the shank. This fine ultra-sharp point combined with the slick PTFE Tufflon coating and micro barb ensures excellent hook holds. The 13-degree in-turned eye provides excellent anti-eject properties and is a highly versatile pattern for a wide range of presentations.
These Curves are now around 25% stronger than their predecessors while still retaining long fine needle sharp points which are now extra durable. These are highly effective in a whole variety of rig presentations (perfect for the Ronnie Rig) and their quick turning, anti-eject shape combined with a needle sharp point ensures exceptional hook holds.
The long, fine needle sharp point, further enhanced by the slick Tufflon coating ensures excellent hook holds and the straight eye allows this pattern to be highly versatile as a bottom bait or pop up hook, with or without a kicker. The straight eye makes it especially effective for a Tungsten Loaded 'D-Rig' where the straight eye acts to increase the gape. The 'Para' has already become a real favourite amongst our testers and looks set to be the 'go to' all-rounder for years to come.
We have been getting asked for a while for a chod / stiff rigger hook with an ultra-sharp beaked point and have answered those pleas with a hook that has even converted a few straight point devotees through the testing process! Although hook choice is often down to personal preference rather than exact science, a beaked point can provide extra assurance especially in weedy or snaggy conditions, with unbeatable hook holds - and so they have proved through the testing process.
Compared with its predecessor the Mk-2, the super sharp point is longer and finer and more inclined towards the shank for a stronger shape. The point is also in-line with the 13 degree out-turned eye so all the force is straight along the point section of the hook, rather than across the gape making them incredibly strong. Heavy forging and PTFE Tufflon coating plus no discernible increase in wire gauge but with superior strength makes this the perfect pop-up hook!
