ESP - Rubber Shock Beads
The 5mm Rubber Shock Beads are designed to fit perfectly over the top of 0.5mm silicone tubing when used on leadcore for helicopter and chod rigs. In the event of a break, the top bead will push off the silicone tube and with its enlarged bore, the bead is then free to pass over the leader knot. The 8mm Rubber Shock Beads are made from an extra tough polymer and provide the perfect shock absorber when used in running lead and marker float setups. The tapered bore provides a perfect snug fit for the eye of a size 9 swivel.
ESP - Helicopter Chod Rig Sleeves
The flexible silicone tube is mounted onto a soft sleeve which houses the lead retaining clip and provides a neat, streamlined system. You might wonder why this component is comprised of two parts, rather than being moulded as one piece. Well, the thermoplastic rubber used to mould the clip link retaining sleeve is malleable yet tough and is perfect for sleeving the clip link yet does not have the soft flexibility and inherent ‘spring’ of good old silicone tube so ESP have combined the two materials to create the perfect shock absorber buffer sleeve for chod rig work. The silicone tube can be shortened if required, as can the clip retaining sleeve if the leader is tied directly to the lead loop.
Avid Carp - Chod Stopper Beads
These beads are shaped so you play carp against the tapered section of the bead during the fight, great for Naked Chod setups. Pre-formed around wires for ease of use.
Avid Carp - Heli Buffers
Designed to provide a Buffer between Rig and Lead, to provide a streamlined Helicopter Rig. Has a tapered section to accept Ring Swivels, so you play carp against the Heli Buffer during the fight.
Avid Carp - Chod Buffers
The Chod Buffers are ideal for covering the lead on Chod Rigs and Helicopter rigs. They are compatible with most swivels, and will also work with leads if you choose to cut the swivel off. Can also be used as a buffer bead when using simple running rigs.

Avid created the first ever Drop Off Stem for fishing with inline leads. We’ve improved it, however, with the addition of a QC link. Compatible with Avid Anti Tangle Sleeves and all Avid inline leads.
