Tools, Baiting Needles & Baiting Up
Good, strong and relibale tools are needed, especailly when threading on Big PVA bags or Stringers.
Regualr feedeing can be key so the use of a decent catapult and/0r Spodding is paramount. These are big fish and they like to eat. But do take spare catapult elastic as the sun is strong out there and can cause havoc with rubber!
Handy tools like sharp scissors, multi tools, forcepts and pliers are handy, especially for crimping barbs on hooks etc.
ESP - Bait Drill & Needle
They are easy to use and reduce splits and breakages when baiting up. Ultra-fine 1mm diameter drill produces smaller, neater holes. The matching 1mm diameter needle has low profile barb with no sharp edges to fray or damage braid. Increased diameter towards base of needle is also useful for opening up the hair loop.
ESP Spare Catapult Elastic
Short or over-powered catapult elastics accelerate the bait load too fast and increase spread significantly. These sections of latex provide a long, slow, powerful acceleration for maximum distance and minimum spread. Natural latex has a unique power and elasticity but has a limited lifespan and should be replaced regularly ll last longer.

Korda Pulla Tool
The Pulla has been specially designed so that the angler can easily pull knots tight on hook links and check that they are strong enough. The 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda Size-8 Swivel or a Link Loop. This handy little tool makes tying rigs much easier, as holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.
